Getting Started With Google Adsense - Part 1

Free Tips Adsense Strategies

1. The basics: Building Your Site

A lot of people started asking how they can make money with AdSense. But many of these people do not even have a website!

Here's the bad news: to make money with AdSense, you have to have a website. There is no way around that. The good news is that although it has never been easier to create a website from scratch and use it to generate real income.

I will give a brief introduction to create a website from scratch. You can find much more information online and tell you where to look. A good place to start is my own book How to build profitable websites fast, available in www.buildawebsitefast.com

2. The Name of Your Site
The first thing your site needs a name. That's easier said than done these days. All the best words in the dictionary have already been purchased and built by developers or have been purchased and offered by speculators.

But that does not mean you can not create a good name and buy it for a song. Put two words together with a hyphen can work (as http://www.tipsadsense-secrets.com) and there are plenty of good names available if you are prepared to move outside the world. com. net, biz, etc..

Your first stop should be http://www.yourdomain.com. This is a nuts and bolts service that lets you find and buy names, hosting plans, and even submit your site to search engines. When you are looking for a name, you can throw in ten options and the site will tell you what (if any) are available. Find a good one, and can be purchased there or pick it up at http://www.godaddy.com (which may be a little cheaper). All in, buying a name from one of these services will not cost more than about $ 9 a year.

If you can not find the name you want and that has not already grabbed it, you can take a look at sites like moderndomains.com and bestnames.net. These are companies that buy domain names and sell them for profit. There is a good chance you'll find some good names here, but they can cost from $ 50 to $ 50,000. Before you part with a penny, think of the advantage that a good name can bring and you wonder if you can not get the extra traffic a cheaper way. Often, you can.

Your site will be stored on the server from a hosting company. (I did not want thousands of callers to the computer every hour, right?) Once again, there are plenty of different options depending on the amount you wish to pay and what you need.

In general, you want to make sure you have about 50 megabytes of space (that's enough for 100 pages!), The reporting of comprehensive statistics and most importantly, 24 hour service. If your site goes down, you will be losing money every time it is online. If there is a problem with the server, you want to ensure that fixed right away.

You get what you pay for with web hosting. "Free" services that cost more than that, except for loss of income and can pay up to $ 200 a month for dedicated servers. Twenty dollars a month is a reason able price to pay and GoDaddy.com and NetworkSolutions.com both offer good programs.

4. Designing The Site
He used to say that absolutely anyone can create a website. That was true: absolutely anyone who knew HTML. Today, not even have to know that. Programs like Microsoft FrontPage or NVU (which is free and can be downloaded www.nvu.com) can create websites without knowing that the labels of the tables. If you can use Word, you can create a website.

You can have fun playing with the programs and the design of the site yourself or hire a professional designer to do it for you.

Independent sites like www.guru.com and www.elance.com are good places to advertise. You can invite designers to give quotes and choose the best based on price and talent. Be sure to check feedback and portfolios, but a low offer is usually low for good reason.

5. Create The Content
In Chapter 11, which talks in detail about creating content and optimizing your writing to attract traffic and maximize your AdSense revenue. There are all sorts of ways to do that, but for now just keep in mind that the ads displayed on your site depends on the content of the pages. AdSense's how it works: users click on ads because they are relevant.

And that's why it's not worth putting a site just to take advantage of certain keywords. Google does not like and neither do the users. If your site is truly the interest of your visitors, you'll be hard to get traffic, links and clicks on your ads.

But there are still plenty of different ways to easily create content that improves their future. I'll tell you all about them in Chapter 11.

It is also worth remembering that Google places ads on certain types of sites, so if you're thinking of building a casino site stuffed with AdSense ads, you can forget it, it will not happen.

Before building a site that contains all the content remotely controversial, see ou t AdSense Terms of Service (TOS) to make sure that th is allowed. We tell you whether your idea is correct or if you need thin k again.
